Angler’s Choice teams hit the water at the break of dawn searching for valuable points and healthy cash prizes on Wappapello Lake. The weather once again was nearly perfect and the fishing wasn’t bad either for those who figured out what Mr. Bass was looking for on this day.

The first place team of Jeff Fansler and Harold Walker found the fish to be in a top water mood as they threw buzz baits in shallow water areas to gain their bites. They brought a five fish limit to the scales weighing 12.78lbs and narrowly edged out the second place team. For their efforts on the day the team received checks totaling $1,025.00 and move into the second place position in the point’s race. The team is sponsored by: Jeff’s BBQ, Miller’s Motor Lodge and Productive Lures. Great Job Guy’s!!

The second place team of Robert Williams and Scott Fischer also found the fish to want top water as they used buzz baits early but then switched over to jigs around noon. The team had five fish limit with a total weight of 12.41lbs and earned checks totaling $700.00 for the day of fishing. They would like to thank their sponsors: Sparky’s Marine and G3 Boats.

The third place team of Chuck Roberts and Chris Bowen found the key once again to be top water as they used black buzz baits on main lake points to catch their fish. The team had a total weight of 11.49lbs and earned $100.00 compliments of Foothills Marine. The team is sponsored by: Ranger Boats, Yamaha Outboards, Minn-Kota Trolling Motors, The Boat Shop, Inc, Gambler Worms/Bang Fish Attractant, Ocean Wave Sunglasses, Ellis Batteries, McCoy Line, and CMC Jack Plates.

Big Bass went to the team of Adam Hutson and Marcus Selvidge. The fish weighed in at 4.52lbs and earned them checks totaling $170.00 for the bite.
