July 18, 2004 – The sixth qualifying tournament was held on Pickwick Lake from McFarland Harbor in Florence, AL.

1st Place: Kenny Mattox and Roger Chandler fished black and green jigs on the river channel to boat 5 fish weighing 16.65 lbs, including the big bass of 5.47 lbs. Winning a total of $1,810.

2nd Place: Gene Logan and Kevin Aston weighed in 5 fish for 14.86 lbs, also fishing jigs in black and blue. They won $750.

3rd Place: Mike Davis and Van Schwendimann weighed in 5 fish going 13.78 lbs. They too were fishing the river channel with black jigs winning $600.

Rounding out the top 5: Linous Jolly and Shannon Briggs 5 fish 11.83 lbs, $385. Wade Caperton and Jerry Wright 5 fish
11.80 lbs., $305.

Angler’s of the year: Tony Hayes and Daniel Moody took over the year to date standings with 608.24 points. Mike Davis and Van Schwendimann moved into 2nd place with 600.96 points.
