The second qualifying tournament for the NW Alabama Team Trail was held March 23, 2003 on Pickwick Lake at McFarland Harbor, Florence. Thirty teams entered the tournament in hopes of catching the winning stringer. Clay Fritts and Jeff Stern did just that with a nice mix of smallmouth and largemouth bass that weighed 16.91 lbs. Clay and Jeff were awarded $1280 plus a $1000 BassCat Bonus Bucks Certificate toward the purchase of a new BassCat boat.

2nd place and $635 went to the team of Sam Mize and Bill Dillard with a five fish limit that weighed 15.00 lbs. 3rd place and $400 went to Randy Gentle and Howard McCutchen with 10.63 lbs. They also had the Big Bass, 5.94 lbs, and won an additional $400. 4th place and $395 went to the team of Jack Langston and Joey Wimberly who had 10.58 lbs.

The NW Alabama Anglers Choice staff was honored to have Tom Shockley on hand to assist in the weigh in.
