Stubblefield &
Pritchett Get Off to A Good Start !

1st Place: Kevin Stubblefield of Scottsboro, who works
for Marshall County as an Engineers Assistant and Marty
Pritchett of Grant, who is the local UPS man weigh in
a 5 fish limit that topped the scales at 24.24 pounds
to take the lead on the Guntersville teams. Using a
¾ oz. Gold/Black Rat L Trap fishing a 10 acre
grass island on the lower part of the lake where they
spent the whole day. They also won the Big Bass Rat
L Trap award with a fish that weighed 6.30 lbs. The
team went to the house with a nice paycheck of $1730.
2nd Place: Scott Keeling
of Guntersville and Frelon Moore of Albertville fished
several ditch banks which run in from the river that
has hydrilla in 7 - 9 foot of water on the lower lake
that bedding fish use to migrate in to bed. They weighed
in a limit weighing 21.98 lbs. using a 1/2oz. Black
and Blue Jig that Scott has been making for the last
10 years.
3rd Place: Greg Gilley
and Bobby Bright both from Boaz had a limit fishing
the same 10 acre grass island as the first place team
and caught their 3 largest bass before 10 AM using a
Model A Bomber that Greg custom paints himself. Greg
who works with Coca Cola used the same bait to win our
first tournament last year.
William Anglin and Sam
Benson both of Dawsonville Georgia won a set each of
Frogg Toggs weather gear that was awarded by Will Fowler.
Jeff and Jimmy Atchley of Bryant won the spare tire
and boat mount donated by Guntersville Boat Mart. Thanks
to Doug and Joe Campbell of Waterfront Tackle for being
the host for this year's Guntersville Teams and our
other Team Sponsors : Carl Black Auto Group of Kenesaw
Georgia, Krystal Restaurants, Guntersville Boat Mart,
