100% BASS – Special Mercury WRL Rules for
2009
1) Participants and
Eligibility: No team or individual
will be allowed to fish if they individually or collectively have won more than
$4000 and finished in the top 10 in the points race during a given season. Money won from the back seat of a Pro/Am
event does not count towards an individual winnings. Also, any team that is found to be a highly
qualified team based on points races (top 5 in the angler of the year races) of
any other circuit may be asked to fish at the regular team level and not
participate in the WRL events. Final decision of all contestants being
allowed to participate will be at the tournament directors’ discretion.
2) Eligibility
– Any angler who has qualified for a Pro Championship of any 2 day pro
trail (100% BASS, B.A.S.S.,
F.L.W.,EVERSTART, WESTERN BASS, or W.O.N.) in the past 10 years is ineligible
to fish as an amateur on the 100% BASS tour.
3) Boat and Motors:
each event will be divided into horsepower divisions. Each division will
compete only within their own division.
Division 1 will be engines with horsepower ratings between 0 and 115 horsepower.
Division 2 will be engines greater than 115 horsepower.
All boats in WRL events must be a minimum of 12 feet long.
Any team with a boat that qualifies for the small boat division and wants to
participate as members
of the large boat division will be allowed too.
Prior approval from the tournament director must be
obtained. This allowed us to keep track of
qualification points in a proper manner.
4) Start of Tournament:
A random draw will be done to determine the starting boat in each Division,
with Division #1 boats always being allowed to start first.
5) Limit
– During all WRL events, teams will only weigh in 5 fish for the days
catch.
6) Trophies and Awards:
Payback for all events will be in cash/check and will be based on a 1 in 5 format with
trophies going to the top 5
in the large boat category and the top 3 in the small boat category as
appropriate.
7) Participation in both
WRL and regular team events. As
long as a team meets the requirement for the WRL they may participate in
both the Regular teams and the WRL events. When these events fall on the
the same day and the same lake, A team will be permitted to have 5 fish in the
live wells. Allowing them to weigh in for both events.
8) TOC:
The TOC will be a separate event, to be held at the end of the season. WRL anglers are eligible to win
a
boat given away to the overall winner of the event. All other WRL money
will be kept separate. A minimum of 30 teams in the Large Boat category and
the top 5 in the Small Boat category will Qualify for the TOC. 100% BASS
reserves the right to invite more teams based upon participation levels during
the season. The TOC will be
funded by a 25% holdback of the payout at each tournament throughout the regular
season. Qualifying will be based on the best 4 out of 5 events fished
with 1 throw out. Team fishing more than 4 events will keep the 5 show up
points on throw out events.
9) Prizes award during all
WRL Events require the winners to be present at the awards. Winners not
present at the awards ceremony will forfeit any and all prizes selected for
them. This does not include money won as a results of placement in the
tournament. Any prizes not awarded during a specific event will
be carried over and awarded at the WRL Team championship.
